Discord is a text-based chat server that allows you to have different channels (chat spaces) for different topics of discussion. At Virtual Arisia, we’re using it as our main social space.

Gather Town
Gather Town is a video chat platform with a 2D spatial element. Gather “spaces” feature 2D maps built by users with interactive objects. Users can move their avatars around this space and see and hear video feeds when they approach other users’ avatars. There is also a text chat feature. This platform is currently largely inaccessible to those with visual impairments, and must be viewed in a desktop or laptop browser for access to the majority of features.

Google Meet is a video conferencing platform similar to Zoom. It allows people to video and audio call with multiple people and has a limited chat feature.

Minecraft is a video game in which players create and break apart various kinds of blocks in three-dimensional worlds. The game's two main modes are Survival and Creative. In Survival, players must find their own building supplies and food. They also interact with blocklike mobs, or moving creatures.

Among Us
In Among Us, a group of space explorers is going about their business taking readings and doing ship maintenance...but someone seems to be sabotaging the vessel, and crew members keep being found dead!
