Con Suite/Party Space Room Hosts

We are looking for volunteers to monitor the Con Suite/Party Space as a host, help with small technical issues, answer general questions, and help facilitate a welcoming environment and social space.  Con Suite hours will be during the day, with the room turning into party space in the evening. Various shifts will be available. This is primarily an at-con position.

Dance Area Head

The Dance AH organizes Arisia’s Dance programming. This includes both dance instruction sessions and open dancing. The AH recruits session leaders who propose and then run their own dance sessions.

Help Desk Staff

During Arisia 2021, we will be running an online Help Desk. Help Desk Staff will assist people who need help navigating the site, asking for general information, getting into Zoom and Discord, and other common technical issues.  Help Desk Staff will report to the Help Desk Area Head. Various shifts will be available. This is primarily an at-con position.

IRT General Staff

The Incident Response Team (IRT) at Arisia is the area responsible for responding to incidents and situations at the convention that involve member behavior, especially in relation to violations of the convention’s Code of Conduct (CoC) policy.

Music Area Head

The Music AH organizes the musical portion of the Events program. This involves intensive programming for the convention “music room”, including recruiting and scheduling singers, filkers, and other performers. Music also includes unique events like singing in the pool, song contests, and more.

Newsletter Staff

Assist the Newsletter Coordinator to create 4-6 editions of Clear Ether, Arisia's at-con print newsletter. Distribute newsletter to designated locations throughout the con.
